This presentation is suitable for class teachers or department leaders who are interested in using StepsWeb as a whole-class or whole-school resource.
StepsWeb is the only major-level NZ-developed literacy programme. It can be used with all ages from 5 to adult. It is an ideal resource for dyslexic and other struggling learners, but can also be used with ESOL learners and as a general classroom resource.
When used as a whole-school or whole-class resource, StepsWeb enables every learner in the class to working at his or her own level and speed. There are extensive diagnostic reports, which enable class teachers to easily track individual progress and identify learners who need additional support.
This presentation will demonstrate StepsWeb and discuss different ways of using the programme, including:
- Whole-school resource
- Remedial learners
- ESOL learners
- Curriculum/subject support
- Extension learners
- Language/vocabulary development
Teachers will be shown how to use the structured literacy course, but also how to customize the programme to reinforce their teaching or to address individual difficulties.
Spaces limited – booking essential.
